Stanley Phillips, age 72, of Berry, Alabama, passed away December 19, 2024. Graveside
services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 23, 2024, at Phillips Chapel Free Will Baptist
Church Cemetery with Bro. Jimmy Holliman officiating and Magnolia Chapel North directing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ellis Phillips and Wanza Lynn Phillips; brother, David
Ellis Phillips; and grandparents, Jessie and Illa Phillips and Lonnie and Verlie Lynn.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Phillips; daughter, April Phillips (Randy); granddaughter, Lily
Grace Williams; nephews, Pat Phillips (Angie), Scott Phillips (Ginger), and Mike Phillips, great-
nephew, Grayson Phillips; great-niece, Addie Grace Phillips; and sister-in-law, Sharon Phillips.
Stan loved the thrill of a hunt with his coonhounds that he raised and hunted, also deer and
turkey hunting with all his special hunting buddies, just being in the outdoors, hearing a report of
his friends' coon-hunt from the night before. "Give me a report." He was the owner and builder
of Creative Construction Co. for 50 years. Stan was a loving father and grandfather, husband and
a devoted Christian and a good friend to so many.
Pallbearers will be his nephews, Pat Phillips, Scott Phillips, and Mike Phillips; and his great-
nephew, Grayson Phillips.
Honorary pallbearers are Jason Marcum, Clayton Bonner, Jerry and Martha Hutto, Jeff "Moon"
and Diane Hallman, Garry Gregg, Denise Moore, Jarrod Milligan, Dowell Phillips, Phil Smith,
Paul Deason, Randy Watson, Thomas Harris, Michael and Paula Jacobson, all the guys'
breakfast table at The City Café for the past 40 years, members of Oregonia Baptist Church, and
coon-hunting buddies from around the state.
