NORTHPORT R.L. Jones, age 59, of Northport, died Feb. 27, 2012, at home. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Sam Delany officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Sunset Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be tonight from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. The body will lie in state one hour prior to services at the funeral home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Lee and Annie Jones, and his sister, Peggy Lollar. Survivors include his sisters, Beatrice Latham (Doug) of Coker and Brenda Sexton (Don) of Northport; his brother, Bruce Jones of Northport; and a host of nieces and nephews. R.L. went to his heavenly home to be with his parents and sister. He will be greatly missed by those who loved him dearly.
