NORTHPORT | James Donald "J.D." Montgomery, age 63, of Northport, died October 14, 2015, at Northport Medical Center. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Friday, October 16, 2015, in Tuscaloosa Memorial Park with Pastor Jon Holland officiating and Heritage Chapel Funeral Home & Cremations, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be Friday, October 16, 2015, from 12 noon to 1:30 p.m., at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Fred Montgomery and mother, Clare Dovie Montgomery. Survivors include his wife, Nacita Montgomery of Northport, Ala.; daughters, Kimberly Montgomery Jones (Mark) of Samantha, Jaymie Montgomery Smith (Justin) of Columbus, Miss. and Kelly Renee Nichols (John Paul) of Samantha; brothers, Ronald David Montgomery of Northport, Daniel Fred Montgomery (Rita) of Northport and Edwin Dale Montgomery of Northport; grandchildren, Laura Montgomery, Emily Jones, Jessica Galloway (Shane), Zoe Nichols, Oly Bryant Smith and Leo Jaymes Smith; and great-grandchildren, Kayden Blaine Montgomery and Grant Riley Galloway. Pallbearers will be Pastor Jon Holland, Justin Smith, Jeremy Middaugh, Brandon Montgomery, Phillip O'Bar and Christopher McNac.
Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Warren Holley, Dr. Gene Alldredge, faculty, staff and alumni of Holt High School and friends and neighbors of Biscayne Hills.
