Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. today at Crestwood Cemetery for Gladys Weatherbee Berry, 84, Huntsville, who died Saturday, Oct. 6, 2007. Crestwood Memorial Funeral Home is in charge.

Ms. Berry was a native of Birmingham. She was a graduate of the University of Alabama and Birmingham Southern College. She had retired from the Birmingham Board of Education after 25 years of service. After retirement, she made her home in Huntsville.

She is survived by her daughter, Rose (Gary) Lee, Huntsville; grandson, Sam Taylor, Huntsville; sisters, Wilma McMillan, Gadsden, and Jean Turman, Doraville, Ga.; niece, Paulette Clark, Gadsden; and nephews, Robert Turman, Georgia.

The family would like to express special thanks to the staff of South Hampton Nursing Home and Rehab Center.

There will be no visitation. The family will meet at the cemetery for the graveside service.
