George D. Hataway, Jr., 66, of 4232 Cardinal St., Northport, died May 23, 1995, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Holy Cross Lutheran Church. The Rev. Russell Killion will officiate with burial in Tuscaloosa Memorial Park and Sunset Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Hataway was principal of Tuscaloosa County High School from 1961-82, a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church and served in the U. S. Air Force. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Survivors include his wife, Grace S. Hataway, Northport; a daughter, Tanya Lisenby, Northport; a son-in-law, Phillip Lisenby, Northport; and two grandchildren, Kayla Lisenby and Molly Lisenby, both of Northport.
Pallbearers will be Brian Aaron, Greg Brown, Gene Burrows, Kenneth Eades, Robert Eades, Larry Parker, Jr., David Boyd, Michael Symm and Walter R. Evans.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. tonight at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the library of Tuscaloosa County High School.
