NORTHPORT – Michael D. Thornton, age 64, of Northport, Ala., died June 5, 2017. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. Sunset Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, is handling arrangements.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lavern D. and Ann J. Thornton and grandparents, James Aaron and Elvie Thornton and Columbus and Gracie Jones.
