NORTHPORT - Jerome Dockery, age 67, of Northport, died January 1, 2018, at Hospice of West Alabama. Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 7, 2018, at Sunset Funeral Home with Rev. Delbert Canterberry officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service with burial following in Sunset Memorial Park with Sunset Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing.
He was preceded in death by his father, Tommie M. Dockery; his mother, Isabell Mary Robertson; his stepfather, James Jim Robertson; his sister, Mary Louise Wallace; and his brother, Tommy M. Dockery Jr. and his wife, Linda Carol Dockery.
Survivors include his son, Michael Dockery (Candice); his daughters, Brittany Dockery and Daphne Donaldson; his cousin, Cynthia Booth (Gene); his mother-in-law, Carol Parker; his brother-in-law, Kenneth Dunn (Santha); his granddaughter, Camden Dockery; and his nieces and nephews.
Jerome graduated in 1970 from Tuscaloosa County High School. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a beloved father and grandfather. Jerome never met a stranger and was known for helping anyone he came in contact with. He loved Alabama Football and Car Shows.
Pallbearers will be Brian Cunningham, Steve Bradley, Michael Kimbrough, Dustin James, Kenneth Dunn and Lee Dunn.
Honorary pallbearers are Park Manor Nursing Home, DCH Regional Medical Center ICU, Dr. Miller and Hospice of West Alabama.
